[Key Takeaways](#key-takeaways) Bifrost Celebrates One Year and 10,000 Builds --------------------------------------------- [Bifrost](https://bifrost.nativephp.com/), the build and distribution service from the NativePHP team, has hit its first anniversary alongside a milestone of 10,000 successful builds. Co-creators Simon Hamp and Shane Rosenthal marked the occasion with six meaningful updates that push the service deeper into AI-assisted and repository-driven workflows. Launched in September 2025, Bifrost lets Laravel developers turn their projects into signed iOS and Android binaries without managing their own build infrastructure. Year two doubles down on that promise with tighter AI agent integration and smarter automation. MCP Server: Let AI Agents Drive Your Builds ------------------------------------------- Bifrost now exposes a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Once authenticated, an AI agent can: - Find teams and projects - Start or cancel builds - Check build credits - Upload signing credentials - Run workflows - Retrieve diagnoses for failed builds Claude Code users can connect with a single command: ```bash claude mcp add --transport http bifrost https://bifrost.nativephp.com/mcp/oauth ``` Any other MCP-compatible client can use the same remote server URL. Team owners must enable MCP connections for their team first, and each user authenticates through Bifrost in the browser. Automated Build Workflows ------------------------- Workflows are the headline productivity feature of this release. Builds can now be triggered automatically when: - A pull request opens - Code is pushed to a branch - A branch or tag is created - A GitHub release is published You can also fire workflows via an AI agent or an HTTP webhook. Each workflow supports building iOS and Android simultaneously with separate signing configurations. After builds complete, Bifrost can dispatch a signed webhook, a Slack or Discord notification, or an email. Branch and tag filters support wildcards, and Bifrost deduplicates builds when two events point to the same commit within a ten-minute window. **Plan limits:** Apprentice and Loki plans allow one workflow per app; Hela and Thor plans have no limit. Workflows are included on every plan. Managed Signing Credentials --------------------------- Handling certificates and keystores manually is one of the biggest pain points in mobile CI/CD. Managed Credentials addresses this directly. **iOS:** Provide an App Store Connect API key and Bifrost can register your bundle ID, generate certificates, store provisioning profiles, and send a warning 30 days before credentials expire. **Android:** Provide a Play Store service account key and Bifrost generates a keystore for you. You receive an upload key to register with Play Console and can rotate its password at any time. AI Diagnoses for Failed Builds ------------------------------ Failed builds now include a Claude-powered diagnosis: a plain-language explanation of what went wrong and a suggested fix. The feature is on by default across all plans, and connected MCP agents can retrieve the diagnosis programmatically. Website Redesign and Monorepo Support ------------------------------------- The anniversary release also ships a redesigned Bifrost website and monorepo support. Developers can now specify the subdirectory that contains their app, and Bifrost runs builds from that path without requiring any repository restructuring. Anniversary Discount -------------------- Bifrost is offering **30% off annual Loki, Hela, and Thor plans** with the code `HAPPYBIRTHDAY`. The offer runs through the end of 2026 and stacks on top of the standard annual billing discount.
