Filament v5.10.3 Is Out — Here's What Changed
---------------------------------------------

Released on 20 October 2026, Filament v5.10.3 is a focused patch release that resolves a wide range of bugs, improves accessibility, tightens up performance, and expands i18n coverage. If you are running Filament v5 in production, this update is worth applying promptly.

### Bug Fixes

This release packs the most impactful changes in its bug-fix list. Here are the highlights grouped by area.

#### Authentication & Security

- **Double-encoded QR codes** — App-based two-factor authentication QR codes were being encoded twice, making them unreadable in some authenticator apps. PR #20741 corrects the encoding pipeline.

#### Livewire & State Management

- **Cloak state lost on Livewire updates** — Components using `x-cloak` could flash visible content during Livewire re-renders. PR #20743 preserves cloak state across updates.
- **Livewire notifications leaking across browser tabs** — Notifications dispatched in one tab were appearing in other open tabs of the same app. PR #20788 scopes notifications to their originating tab.

#### Tables

- **Colored table actions visible in loading skeletons** — Action buttons with custom colors were incorrectly rendering inside skeleton loaders. PR #20744 hides them during loading.
- **Pagination numbers formatted twice** — Page numbers were passing through the number formatter more than once, producing malformed output. PR #20748 fixes the double-format call.
- **Boolean group keys for record selection** — Boolean column values used as group keys were not normalised, causing record selection to behave inconsistently. PR #20777 normalises them.
- **Filter dropdowns now close after applying** — Applying a table filter now automatically closes the dropdown, improving the interaction flow (PR #20789).

#### File Uploads

- **Original filenames preserved** — Uploaded files were losing their original names in certain storage configurations. PR #20781 restores the expected filename.
- **Spaces in uploaded file URLs** — File URLs containing spaces were not percent-encoded, breaking image previews and download links. PR #20782 encodes spaces correctly.
- **Hidden drop-label height maintained** — The file upload component was collapsing its drop-zone label height when hidden, causing layout shifts. PR #20784 keeps the reserved height.

#### Forms & Rich Editor

- **Repeater item labels skipping unnecessary snapshots** — `Repeater::getItemLabel()` was triggering a full state snapshot even when no item label was configured, adding overhead on every render cycle. PR #20762 skips the snapshot when it is not needed.
- **Asymmetric grid options in rich editor** — The rich editor was showing irrelevant grid preset options. PR #20761 limits the choices to applicable presets only.
- **Nested lists preserved when wrapping list item content** — Wrapping content inside a rich editor list item was inadvertently flattening nested lists. PR #20787 keeps the nested structure intact.
- **Select dropdown stays open on scrollbar press** — Clicking the scrollbar inside a select dropdown was closing it prematurely. PR #20783 corrects the outside-click detection.

#### Multi-tenancy & Relation Managers

- **Tenant context restored for queued imports** — Queued import jobs were losing the active tenant context, causing them to run against the wrong dataset. PR #20758 restores the tenant before the job executes.
- **Relation manager record title overrides honoured** — Custom `getRecordTitle()` overrides on relation managers were being ignored. PR #20759 ensures the override is respected.

#### Notifications

- **No lock contention when checking published notifications** — The notification polling query was acquiring a lock unnecessarily. PR #20773 removes it.

### Performance

- **Line-clamped text columns** — Instead of relying on a CSS `:has()` selector targeting inline `style` attributes, line-clamped columns now receive a dedicated CSS class. This avoids forced style recalculations on every render (PR #20790).
- **Single-trigger dropdowns** — Initialising dropdowns with a single trigger no longer forces a style recalculation (PR #20774).
- **Non-dehydrated component resolution** — Unrelated component branches are pruned when resolving non-dehydrated components, reducing unnecessary traversal (PR #20763).

### Accessibility

- **Responsive sidebar keyboard navigation** — The responsive sidebar now handles keyboard focus correctly, making it fully navigable without a mouse (PR #20756).
- **Section header actions wrap on narrow layouts** — Header action buttons in sections now wrap instead of overflowing on small screens (PR #20757).

### Internationalisation

- Added missing **Traditional Chinese (zh\_TW)** translations (PR #20749).
- Fixed zh\_TW import/export counts and authentication messages (PR #20755).
- Added missing **Polish (PL)** translations (PR #20779).
- Updated **Finnish** translations (PR #20778).

### Key Takeaways

- Fix for double-encoded 2FA QR codes improves authentication reliability.
- Tenant context is now correctly restored for queued import jobs in multi-tenant apps.
- File upload URLs with spaces are percent-encoded, preventing broken asset links.
- Performance improvements reduce forced style recalculations in tables and dropdowns.
- Four language packs received updates: zh\_TW, PL, and Finnish.
- Five new contributors made their first pull request in this release.

Frequently asked questions
---------------------------

What is the most critical bug fixed in Filament v5.10.3?One of the most impactful fixes is the restoration of tenant context for queued imports (PR #20758). In multi-tenant Filament applications, queued import jobs were losing the active tenant context and running against the wrong dataset. This release ensures the correct tenant is resolved before the job executes.

Does Filament v5.10.3 include any performance improvements?Yes. Line-clamped text columns now use a CSS class instead of an inline style attribute with a :has() selector, avoiding forced style recalculations. Single-trigger dropdown initialisation and non-dehydrated component resolution were also optimised to reduce unnecessary work on each render.

Which languages received translation updates in v5.10.3?Traditional Chinese (zh\_TW) received missing translations and fixes for import/export counts and authentication messages. Polish (PL) received missing strings, and Finnish translations were also updated in this release.
